"Constructions" | Ray Fournier

opening October 18, 2003
reception from 7-9pm

Ray Fournier has spent over 20 years in typographic and design in New York City. His artistic endeavors, however, question the complexity and arcane semantics inherent in technology. His current work, using a children's toy called Lite-Brite, which has been on the market for 50 years, is the latest reflection of his desire to express the influence of technology in a very simple and easily understood medium. He now lives in Miami Beach because he works in the nude.

"Ray Fournier's illumination of Buddha is a literal and metaphoric portrait that provides exhilarating enlightenment for us all"

- Amy Temkin curator of 20th century art Philadelphia Museum of Art.
