Equus Caballus:
Three Horse Loving Artists
At Eclectic Electric Gallery
September 20, 2007 - November 10, 2007

Eclectic Electric is proud to present three Artists; Rachael Zaudke Wilkins, Jodi Reichert, and Sheri Cook, who are dedicated to portraying the elegance and charm of horses. On September 20th, the opening night of their exhibit, all three artists and Eclectic Electric will be donating a portion of their proceeds to an equestrian relief fund through Saddlebred Rescue Inc., (www.saddlebredrescue.com). It is the mission of Saddlebred Rescue Inc. to educate the public on concerns facing the Saddleseat breeds and save the unwanted horses from slaughter and return them to useful, productive lives.

“It is the outstanding brilliance, strength and sheer mass, that I am intrigued by most in these particular animals”, states artist Rachael Zaudke Wilkins. She continues with, “I am constantly striving to capture the essence of what enchants me most about horses. Even when a horse is standing still, one will notice the twitch of an ear, a flare of the nostrils or the ripple of muscle to discourage a fly. It is this simple glimpse of the equine I am constantly trying to convey in each of my creations.”

Graceful while whimsical, elegant through spirited, loyal though free, the horse is a magnificent creature worthy of honoring and saving. All three artists capture a different nature of the animal and portray their own relationships and enthusiasms towards horses through sculpture, paintings and drawings. All are avid riders as well. Eclectic Electric Gallery is thrilled to display Rachael, Jodi and Sheri’s works and to encourage their clients to help protect such majestic creatures as the horse.

Please join us Thursday, September 20th, 2007 from 6 P.M. until 9 P.M. for the artist’s reception and the Saddlebred Rescue event. As well as donating a portion of proceeds, a raffle will take place to own one of these beautiful pieces of artwork. Come view art, sip wine, listen to jazz and protect a horse.
We look forward to seeing you !
